Easter Tradition

Remember when you were a child, and you could hardly wait for the church service to be over. All you could think about was the Easter egg hunt and imagining all of the treats you would find within those eggs. This is something I remember very clearly. In fact, I still look forward to it. Even though my sister and I are adults, my parents honor our family tradition by hiding Easter eggs and watching us tear through everything in order to find them and to be first the find them.

One thing I love about our family tradition is that instead of putting fun treats in the eggs, my mother puts something a whole lot more valuable. In the eggs, she put homemade puzzle pieces that when put together would be a Scripture verse. I know some will probably think that is silly, but it’s a tradition that is dear to my heart. It is one that I will pass down and remember forever.
