Our Living Hope

“Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with Him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, He cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over Him.” ~Romans 6:8-9

I was there that day. I saw Him die. I was a terrible thing to see, but people gathered to see. Some were sad, but many rejoiced. They were glad to see His death. The same people only a few days ago worshipped Him, claiming He was the Son of God. They cheered, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” However, that was then, and this is now. Now those same people wanted death, as they cried, “Crucify Him!” The world has turned against Him. Love has turned to hate. Did they stop believing? Or did they never truly believe in the first place?

I know the truth. I know who He is and what He has done. What you ask?

He conquered death. I did see Him die, but I saw Him again. He was alive. I know who He is. He is the one. The One who was prophesied in the book of Isaiah, and the One who was born King. He is Christ the Lord.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy, He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” ~1 Peter 1:3
